Engine Performance problem
1989 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

while im driving my car it wants to shut off whenever it wants like there is no gas coming out of the fuel injectors at sometimes it hesitates alot an sometimes turns off i changed the fuel filter,an used fuel cleaner for the tank muliple times what could it be?

when does this happen when coming to a stop or will it happen driving on the highway too

it really does it whenever it wants it worked good for like a month an a half ago but not it's doing that again

I think a good throttle body cleaning and throttle plate cleaning, then check/clean or replace the idle air control valve will clear you right up

where would the idle air control valve be located also I had a mechanic come by an he told me wen I turn it on an it's in park he said the injectors on one of them it's wasn't spittin the gas right but I put a bottle of the lucas treatment an is still continues to hesitate but I haven't changed that air control vavle but I have applied that throttle body cleaner an changed the oil

this is an 89 so it should have one, it will be located right on the throttlebody, right before the throttle plate, typically. it should have two wires going to it, also on the throttle body is the tps,so dont get them confused , did you say you've changed the gas filter? I would still do that, and yes your injector is mostlikely clogged, and will need replacement, this is where the conveinance and affordability of junk yards and salvage yards come in, I would go to one of those yards where I can pull everything off myself, most times they will give you things like an injector for free,. alot of people just pop em in their pockets, not implying that is what you should do, but it happens,
