Electrical problem
1988 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
I installed new headlights and when the engine on, they start to flicker after a few minutes. The engine "tone" varies as well, and the lights flicker with the variation. Engine: VROOM (loud), vroom (softer), VROOM, vroom, etc. Lights: BRIGHT, dim, BRIGHT, dim, etc. I bought the lights from a friend, so I am unsure of what brand, make, etc. lights they are. The only markings on the bulbs are: SUNSHINE H4 12V100/90W P43T. It has been suggested that my alternator is not putting out enough "juice" to power the lights. I have tested the alternator; the car runs with the battery disconnected. I also have no other "mods" to the vehicle.
