i have a 2.8 liter V6 camaro and the carb. is giving me trouble, insted of fixing it i can get one fom a friend thats good. now hears what i need to know his carb. came off of a 1982 citation 2.5 liter will it work ok? it will mount i've already tried it, it mounts perfect on the intake, but will it perform ok on my motor? i also have a choice of a 1980 monza carb. it will mount too but will it be ok? its a 2.5 as well. thanks

Hi:
No the carb won't work properly. Not only will there be vacuum problems, I question how the carb will work on the V6. I recommend staying with the exact carb that came on the car. Otherwise, you may end up with other problems.

well i didn't have much choice( had to get to work) so i tried the carburetor, it works great all vaccume lines hook up, mounts perfect on the intake. runs real good, i was told by a friend, chevrolet used the same rochester carbs. for their 2.5 and 2.8 liter engines i guess he was right. so far its going good.
