hi i have a 79 camaro with a 305. it has a Rochester dual jet carb. bought this camaro for a project. the car has a flat cam lobe. it drove when i got the car.
it ran like crap when i got it...so i timed it and now it dries when you try to drive it. i can press the accelerator in park or neutral and it stays running. when i put it into drive it bogs down, but stays running. however when i step on the gas, it kills. any ideas???
i took some vacuum readings in park at idle in get about 10hg at 2000 RPM i get about 15hg. i also tested the thermal vacuum switch and that checked out good. checked for vacuum leaks but couldn't find any obvious ones
