Transmission problem
1978 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to know why I cant get this transmission into park? I just built A new engine and when I put it back in I had problems with the trans...I manually shifted the linkage bracket but all are in drive and no parking gear.
hmmmm! Go figure

Did you mount the torque converter on to the fly wheel and insert it in to the vehicle as a unit or did you place the torque converter on to the transmission output shaft and then bolt it to the fly wheel.?
