Engine Mechanical problem
1969 Chevy Camaro V8 Automatic

I have a 69 Camaro & I have recently removed the HEI distributor & replaced with MSD distributor & Coil system. Now that I have everything put in & adjusted to a "t", when I try to start the engine, the carburetor backfires. I cannot think of what could be causing this problem. I have the timing set perfectly & everything is put together perfectly. Can someone please help me out? I am hoping that someone knows what is happening or has some ideas that can help me get this figured out. Thanks.

the backfire uselly means you have to much gas flowing through it. if the jets in that carburator are to big it will do that. that may be the problem
