I have a blazer K5 1985 with a blown engine, i was wandering for a cheep fix, if i were able to take the two busted pistiens out with the push rods and connecting rods. and the engine would run off that. now i don't know how the engine would run or not but given the mechanics of the engine i think it would miss a beat but still run. i've heard that some engines are so badly worn on the inside that in one or more chamber there is little to no compression, now i know that is a really bad case but in theary it mitt work. tell me what you think, should i do it or just get new parts.
ps. this is my point a to point b car THANK YOU in advance.
