2002 Chevy Blazer rear tale gate stuck

is there a over ride for the relaese motor for the window I had this same problem with a 96 Blazer there is a manual release in the center of the tailgate on the bottom. I had to pull some carpeting up from the tail gate itself to get a long screwdriver in it.
