my oil pressure gauge on the dashboard fluctuates when driving. averaging 40 but at some points going as high as 80 and dropping as low as 20. yesterday morning i could not get the car to start but last night it started but the gauge kept rising and dropping while the car was being driven. when idiling it dropped to 20.
what can cause this and is it a problem?
