2000 Chevy Blazer Won't shift into 3 rd. gear,high rev's

I changed my autotrans filter and 5 quarts of fluid,but I'm still cant shift into higher gears,unless I ease off the gas pedal.When I turn on the A.C. the problem gets worse and the engine temp. gets hotter.Car has no get-up-n-go.
