Thursday April 4 2008 my floor heat disappeared. Lots of heat through the defrost and front vents, just no heat directed to floor ducts. Tonight I pulled back glove box and found all actuators and vacuum lines operational.
Then, above the accelerator pedal I think I found the problem. This vacuum actuator operated correctly, but it appeared that the spindle of the door it rotated was actually twisted off. Tomorrow am I am going to take a crack at some in dash surgery to remove part of the door spindle lever and see if its a separate part or if I can jerry rig something up to get me through the snow.

I will repost tomorrow when I get new batteries for my digital camera to upload a picture.

anyone have any suggestions if I am on the right track?

The floor vent door is broken. The part is about 10 bucks, but the labor is much more.
