fuel pump fuse

Its the ECM B fuse 20 amp in the under hood fuse block that powers the fuel pump thru the fuel pump relay. Here is a guide to help test it with the fuse locations as well in the diagrams below.

I can not find a fuse for the fuel pump on the fuse center in the car or under the hood. Where is the fuel pump test connector?

Hello, You are looking for a relay not a fuse. It looks like this however there are probably several that look the same.

Once you find the fuel pump relay you can jump the relay and see if pump turns on. Sorry I don't have pic of relays exact location.

CHeck engine light on/off for weeks. Replaced o2 sensor 3 times. Pulled fuel pump fuse out, put back in. Truck now starts. Mechanic says it will take some time to figure out what might be really wrong. Can fuel pump overheat , stop working for a while, then restart? Fuse contacts old? Fuel pump relay the problem?

Any other ideas would be great

Fuel pump could be failing -check the fuel pressure to rule it out and also test the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump and oil pressure sending unit.

My wife was driving and it was very low on fuel. She says on fumes. She stopped and put gas in it and the truck will now not start. I out a new fuel pump in earlier this year. is it possible it burned out that quick and easy. Is there a fuse or something else I can check. Thank you. Bill

first need to get fuel pressure built back into the system to get the air out. do this by cycling the key ON (no crank) and OFF several times. then attempt to crank. if this doesn't work then check the fuel pump relay.
