1999 Chevy Blazer transmission doesn't shift

it seems the 2nd gear position is 1st and the 3rd is 2nd and D is 3rd and wont shift into overdrive I'd also like to know if the transmission plugs into the same computer along with the engine.

probably the trans is starting to go bad. have a trans pro hook a computer up to it and he can find out what's wrong. Yes the same computer runs the trans and engine that's why it's called a PCM- powertrain control module......
