new jasper engine(3000mls) car gets only 10-12 mpg. what should I look for to fix this? o2 sensor or something else? All new plugs and wires came with engine. what would you suggest. It should get 16-18 mpg

I would first check the coolant temp sensor. Now it you would and have a digital multi meter then unplug the coolant temp sensor and ohm it. Do this when it is cold and get back to me the ohm's reading and the air temp at the time of test.
