i put hids in my truck and they were good for about 3 days until it rained then im guessing the wires got wet and they stopped working the light on the right would strobe very quickly and the light on the drivers side would go on for about 30 seconds then shut off so i took the hids out and put the regualir lights back in and now the drivers side light works however the passenger side like is very dim, i bought wire dryer and sprayed the wires down and that did not work.

As far as your regular headlamps, I'd check voltage and ground at the connector.
