I have a vin v blazer and a local mechanic tried to disconect the wiring from the computer, pulling a couple wires loose. now I have a check engine light on and it has really dropped the power off. It feels like it is stuck in high gear. I need to know the right way to get the computer plugs disconnected without damageing them. If I can get the plugs out of the computer I can perhaps fix the pulled wires, but there seems to be a second catch holding the plugs in. Any help would be great. Thanks steve

With the plug out of the PCM , look into it, remove the colored plastic retainer first. There are specific picks made for getting to the release tab.If you have a bright flashlight you will be able to see the tab on top of the connector, it needs to be pushed down or toward the opening of the terminal while gently pulling back
