1997 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am having problems still staring my vehicle i can remove the air filter cover from the engine that is connected to what i am taking to be a carburetor of sorts for fuel injected vehicles. I can remove the cover and pour a little gas into it and go a put foot on gas pedal and after a few secs it will fire and run for a little while till the gas i poured straight into runs out than it dies. I am thinking either i have bad fuel (which could be checking it was very dark yellow) or my fuel injectors are clogged. My questions are 1st. Where are my fuel injectors located to check them? and 2nd. Is there an easy way to just drain the gas tank without dropping it or using a siphon hose?

Check your fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump if okay -check if the injectors are pulsing.

If its TBI the injectors are right on top center of the Carb lokking thing If its a CSI its under the upper plenum.

Went out and tried cranking it. It turned over and acted like it wanted to run but after about 2 secs. it dies the rpms did not get over 1k. As for checking the fuel pressure for the fuel pump i do not know how to do this but the other day i poured gas down the carb. and it ran for about 10 mins. than died after putting it into D to try and drive it around. Also the Carb is very little and i do not see anything on top of it except the cover going to the air filter. Also could you please tell me what the plenum is?

You need to check your fuel pressure if its within specs and get back with the readings so that we can continue
