Back windshield wiper will not work

Check if the rear is close. suspect bad motor.

I was hoping it was not the windshield wiper motor, not cheap i checked prices. i am thinking a junkyard may have one for less than $100.00.

My windshield wipers are not working properly. When they do actually come on, they do not go off when I turn them off or they will go off standing straight up. Rarely they will not come on at all. Or they come on and will work for about two minutes, stop working for about sixty seconds then continue that cycle (this is on the highest setting, too). Should I change the fuse, the control board or the whole motor?

i am having problems with my wipers if i turn them on nothing happens, however if it is on any speed but high and i try to move them by hand they will do one swipe if it is on high. If i start it by hand the will keep going. i changed the control module and it still does it nothing has changed. my turn signals work, but the cruise does not. i do not know if that has anything to do with the switch.

seems like you may have a faulty turn signal (multifunction) switch. since control module was replaced there is really nothing else other than wiring that would cause this issue.

I was just wondering why my dash lights are going in and out everytime I hit a bump and I have to hit the dash to get them to come back on. Also, my windshield wipers does not work unless I get out under the hood and mess with the windshield wiper motor wire.

Chances are you have a loose connection on both problems or a bad ground. Check under the dash for a loose connection to the instrument cluster. Also, one of the wires under the hood for the wipers must be loose or damaged. Try moving one wire at a time. When you find the one that makes them work, check it for damage, corrosion. also, check it for continuity.

V8 four wheel drive automatic 198,648 miles Hello, My vehicle is a two door fullsize. I have recently been working on a very muddy job sight. When one day I go to use my washer fluid and nothing, so I figured the tank was empty. When I went to check it was full to the top from my recent oil change. The wipers work fine but when I hit the switch for the front or rear washer fluid nothing not even a sound like it use to make when empty. I was just hoping you could help me with this problem since this is the only problem I have had in a long time. Thanks. Jack

first to check is the washer system fuse. if both the front and rear stopped working at the same time then it is most likely either faulty motor/pump or a faulty washer switch. will need to test each to see which is the culprit.

I have a (six cylinder engine) LT 4X4 with 85,000 miles on it. For a while I was only having problems with my radio and the compass on my car going in and out. Now my front and back windshield wipers do not work, nor does the washing fluid. My heat and air do not work anymore. My fuel gage does not work (it shows my car as being empty even when it is full). The battery light, ABS light and brake light are all up on my dashboard, even though I am positive that nothing is wrong with the ABS and my brakes were just put on, as well as a new battery. Also, my gear shift does not light up when I move it. From everything that I have read, it would indicate that there is a problem with my body control module. Would I be correct in my thinking or are there more problems that I might need to be concerned with?

First thing is how old is your battery, and alternator? Are they charging properly and are they both supply enough current volts to the truck? If they do I would look at the truck ECU computer. That could be broken, and cause the truck to do improper things, like messed up gauges, lights not properly working.

My wipers work sometimes and other times they do not work. Sometimes if they are working they will in the middle of working stop working and other times if it give it time or keep trying they will eventually start up again. This has gone on for a while and now the wipers have just completely stopped working all together. I have checked fuses. Is it the switch, the control module, or motor?

If the fuse is good it may be the wiper control module, those had problems with them. Use a test light to see if power is getting to the plug at the motor, if so I would start with the module.

hello, the window washer front and headlight washer do not work. the pump does not work . Wiper work. Back window washer pump works, no water. Wiper works , water tanks are full!
checked fuses and all are okay. Backlight works normal. when i push the brake pedal one light works the other one disappears. i checked the bulb it is okay . everything is happening in the same moment.
Can that be a problem/short in the multifunctional switch? Thanks from Sweden for your advise.

The rear lights issue is a ground problem. As far as the washer fluid, there should be a separate pump for each glass. Check to see if there are getting power and replace if they are bad. Also, check to make sure there are no blown fuses.

When you turn on the wipers sometimes they do not come on. And sometimes when they are in working use, every now and then they will stop working.

My question on the brakes on this same vehicle. Is when driving there is a squeaking sound coming from the tires area.

Wipers are a common failure. The control board mounted on the wiper motor has a bad connector. Not a hard repair if you can use a soldering iron. Even easier is to buy the upgraded board from a parts store.

Brakes, worn brakes, built up brake dust, cracked pads/shoes. Pull them apart and see what the problem is.

My windshield wipers quit working. The fluid still works. What can I do to find out what is wrong with the wipers?

I would start by checking to see if there is power to the wiper motor. If there is, the motor may need replaced.

Six cylinder four wheel drive automatic 93,000 miles

windshield wipers do not work, there is power to the motor connection at all four corner terminals and assuming the center is ground. I replaced the motor control board, other than the motor is there something else I should be looking for?
