1995 Chevy Blazer
this is for any vehicle... not just the blazer as listed..... my brother is a backyard car mechanic and says you dont need to pull a vacuum before charging any ac system.... r-12, or 134a.... i am a diesel mechanic, and do stuff by the book, when it comes to stuff im unsure of...i know you need to have a vacuum, but i am unsure of the reason.... i always used a machine on everything, which when it filled the system, it also installed dye so you can find leaks later in time.... i also checked the amount of refigerant that was needed in any vehicle i ever charged.... what is the reason for a vacuum, and is he anyway correct not pulling one???? also, i believe a vacuum sucks debris out, which will in turn increase compressor life.... all help is needed i want to prove my brother wrong...
