Electrical problem
1993 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Starter was professionally replaced about six months ago. Worked reasonably well for this period. Now starter pinion gear doesn't seem to fully engage flywheel, starter whines. If motor crankshaft pully is manually turned a bit with socket wrench and then engine cranked after wrench removed, starter will turn flywheel some but not enough to start vehicle.

Hi there, you need to get the starter re checked as if you don't you will run the risk of doing damage to the drive plate, and this will require the removal of the transmission to repair.

Flexplate missing teeth to include the starter pinion is too far from the flexplate that probably needs shimming
