we repalced the timing chain, my son needs to know how you know when a timing chain has slipped how do you get it back right

To check if the timing chaine has jumped, you need to remove the timing chain cover and check to see if the timing marks ligh up. If you refer to the drive belt routing diagrams site on this page, it will provide the needed info for you to get it in time.
