Transmission problem
1996 Chevy Beretta 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
1996 BERETTA WITH 150,000 MILES . THE SPEEDO QUIT AND THE CAR SEEMS TO BE STUCK IN A HIGH GEAR. IS THE TRANNY BAD OR IS THERE A POSSSIBLE BAD SENSOR CAUSING BOTH PROBLEMS AT ONCE?

my guess is the vehicle speed sensor or the wire connector to it has a broken wire. that is causing both your problems. fix it now or you will burn out the transmission.
