My car is due for a oil change at its 3000 mile interval. and out of the blue I started it and the noise from the lifter is awfull. but after it runs and reaches operating temp they quite down and you can hardly notice them. seems to be getting worse. it is taking longer for the noise to go away. I did an oil and filter change today and added a QT of Marvels Mist oil. is there anything that would help short of tearing into it and replacing the lifters?
