1993 Chevy Beretta how is heater controlled?

ON newer cars there is a heater control valve (HCV) inline from the engine cooling system to the intake of the heater core that controls the amount of coolant for a more precise control over the temperature. then after the heater core is brought to the proper temperature due to the amount of coolant flow when you turn on the heater to full heat the blend door closes off the air ducts and forces the air to flow through the heater core causing the air to be heated, if the door is sticking then the air blows around the heater core and not through it causing the hot heater core hoses but no hot air.

I thought maybe you could give me some specific info for the 1993 beretta v6. I know that the 1993 cavalier with the v6 does not have a coolant valve for the heater, just the door in the heater to control the heat, I can't find a coolant (liquid) valve inline to the heater core on the beretta-so it must be the same, but I would like to know for sure.

no there is no heater control valve, that is why i said newer vehicles, sorry for the confusion.
