2007 Chevy Aveo ACCERATION PROBLEMS

i have a 2007 chevy aveo , i changed the spark plugs and the spark plug wires .
but when i started it it did not sound right , i drove it down the street and the rpm's were high but the car was moving real slow .
so i rechecked the plugs and the plug wires and i found that at the end of the spark plug wires did not reach the tip of the spark plug .
i put back the old set of spark plug wires but I'm still having the same problem , high rpm's slow movement .
any clue to how i can resolve this issue ?

Sounds like a trans issue. Could be a sensor in the trans or the trans itself but if yo have a warrenty with the dealership yo bought it from I would let them fix it because if you do anything like that to it, that would void the warrenty

Why would the trans be affected from changing the spark plugs and spark plug wires ?
i don't understand why replacing the plugs and wires would mess with the trans

I know it does not make much sense but i have seen stranger things. It also does not make much sense for the engine to rev high and car not accelerate much either. If it was a sensor you may have inadvertainly disconnected something while changing the plugs and wires. That tends to happen a lot more than you would think.

WOW , THE PROBLEM WAS THERE WASN'T ANY TRANSMISSION FLUID .
TO BE HONEST I WAS STILL STUMPED FOR ABOUT 45MIN UNTIL THIS MAN WAS WALKING BY AND HE SAW THAT I WAS FLUSTERED WITH THE CAR .
SO HE ASKED WHAT PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING , SO I EXPLAINED IT TO HIM AND HE LOOKED OVER AT ALL I HAD DONE TO FIND EVERYTHING WAS DONE CORRECTLY .
THEN OUT OF NOWHERE HE SAID HE KNOWS WHAT IT IS .
HE WENT RIGHT FOR THE TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK AND LOW AN BEHOLD IT WAS BONE DRY .
I COULDN'T BELEAVE WHY I DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO CHECK IT BEFORE LOL .
BUT I STILL WANT TO SAY THANK YOU bdoggOO7O FOR TAKING THE TIME TO HELP ME WHEN I WAS IN SO BADLY IN-NEED FOR SOME ADVICE .

Thank you for letting me know and if I had it at my shop I would have probably thought of that as well. But I didn't expect that in a 2007 model car. Your next step should be to find out where it is losing the trans fluid and fixing the leak. More than likely it will be a cv axle seal. Please feel free to leave some feed back.

MY OLDER BROTHER SAYS I SHOULD TAKE IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND GET IT LOOKED AT.
AND WHATEVER IT IS THAT THE SHOP FINDS WRONG WITH IT , TO BUY THE PARTS AND HE WILL HELP ME FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE HE KNOWS I CANT AFFORD THE LABOR COST GETTING IT DONE IN A SHOP.
WHEN I GET THE CHANCE TO GET IT LOOKED AT WHICH WILL NOT BE PROBABLY FOR ANOTHER COUPLE OF DAYS .
BUT AS SOON AS I FIND OUT WHAT IT IS THAT'S WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION I PROMISE TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY IS THE PROBLEM.

make sure you keep an eye on the trans fluid level untill you can get it looked at.
