2004 Chevy Avalanche making a front end noise

my avalanche is making a noise like grinding or dragging metal. It is worse when I turn to the left or when I hit a bump in the road what could it be?

You should first check your brake pads.

Thank you for your reply but I have a good friend who fixed it for me and it was the front passenger side wheel bearings. $210.00 Drives like a brand new one again! :D
