I cannot get the reaar disc brake rotor off. Caliper is off bracket is off. I sprayed penetrating oil through out the rotor. I tapped and turned the rotor to try and loosen. This did not work. I also see a cable in the rear of the rotor guard. I disconnected that also.
Is there something small that am missing. I did not find any information in the Chiltons book either. A quick response is greatly appreciated. I live in the mountains and we are expecting snow again tomorrow. Thank you.

Is the rotor loosened from the center of the hub? If yes, back off on the parking brake shoes adjuster from the back of the rotor, if its not free use a ball peen or good heavy hammer and hit it harder!
Turn the rotor as you pull it off, this is for trucks without four wheel steering...if you have it let me know!

Not 4 wheel drive, four wheel steering?? These are slip off rotors no matter which steering you have, dumb question, but you did release the parking brake? rotor can spin?

See the hole on the right? Position that at the top and insert a screwdriver, loosen the starwheel adjuster that way. Is it possible for you to post a picture or two?
