I understand there are one half inch AND one inch thick rotors that will both fit this truck-
first , is that true, and second does it not specify the one inch ones for that model, due to it's weight , etc ???

Do you have technical info with which I can have to go back to Midas and find out why the front brakes literally FELL OFF the truck after only 13,000 miles when the previous orig. brakes and the first re-do lasted 22,000- 24,000 miles-

Was there ever a recall on brakes on this model? My dealer went out of biz 2 years ago- Any ideas on this?

While it is true that there are two versions of rotors (1" and 1.5" thickness), they are non-interchangeable. 1" is for trucks with 6 lugs and 1.5" is for trucks with 8 lugs. There is no way to install them by mistake.

There is no technical info per se, but if the front calipers were not torqued to 121 ft.lb (1500 series) or 221 ft.lb (2500 series), or just plain install error, the pads are bound to fall off the bracket.

The only recall on brake system was to repair speed sensor for unwanted ABS activation. This had nothing to do with brake pads.
