Suddenly as I was driving at about 55 mph, I heard a clink or a clang like metal on metal. It was not jarring, just the sound. All of a sudden the van began to vibrate. I felt it in the steering wheel and accelerator petal. At first we thought the problem was in the rear end. The rear differential was inspected and the fluid replaced, the rear shocks were replaced and we installed four new matching tires. The vibration persisted. We then removed the front drive shaft and the vibration disappeared. The front u joint on the front drive shaft was replaced. The vibration was still there. Do you have any thoughts on what may be causing this? Thanks. Christine

Check to make sure the balance weight on the front drive shaft hasn't come off.

Let me know what you find.
