2000 Chevy Astro Backup Light Switch

I noticed the reverse light does not work when I backup. I checked the lightbulbs and the fuses they all are in good condition. I understand there is a (backup light switch) would this be the problem and if its where is the location?

Yes, sounds like you already have the issue under control. The backup lights sensor is located on bottom of transmission.
