I noticed this past winter after snow would melt on vehicle that set overnight, my van would have a hard time starting.

During the spring the vehicle would be running fine then if it was raining after a little bit, the ABS & Check Engine lights would come on, and the speedometer would start jumping and van would run rough like it was missing.

I replaced the plugs and wires, distributor, rotor button, etc.

The van still won't start after raining and is dying when running wet, battery light comes on when accelerating. I put a new battery in and still doing the same. I had the altenator checked and tested to be a good altenator. Didn't know where to go next.

If the light is on, there should be a code set in the computer. Have you had the computer scanned?

No, I did before changing plugs and wires and the code was a cylinder misfire. I changed the plugs, wires, etc and cleared the code and it was fine. The lights come on when it gets wet and runs rough and then when I start it up again they are off.

I cleaned all contacts for corrosion last night and put altenator back on and it started but battery drained fast.

I took the altenator off again today and took it to Smyth and they said it was bad, don't know how it was good at Autozone and bad there. I am putting a new one on tonight.

New altenator was what I needed but now the ABS light and emergency brake light is coming on once I put the vehicle in gear and start driving.
