How easy is replacing shocks on this model? Also, when stopped and moving slowly, cutting the steering wheel to the pin results in a feeling of looseness in the front wheels. What needs to be replaced/repaired to improve that symptom?

Rear shocks are like any other, two bolts, remove / replace. As far as the front end, have the tie rods and ball joints checked for excessive play.

Let me know if this helps.
