the turn signals do not flash or come on at all. The hazard lihgts do flash. The chime on this circuit works. the brake lights work. If the turn signal lever is left on too long the fuse blows and none of the above work.

Hi, thanks for the donation. The problem may be in the steering column or multifunction switch. If you want to do some circuit testing, we can give you wiring colors, whatever you need. You can unplug the combination flasher, use a digital multimeter in place of the fuse. If the meter gives a reading, it's going to ground, somewhere.

Which fuse is blowing?

Fuse # 1, 20amp is the one affected.
Please tell me more about how to perform the test involving the removal of the flasher. Could the problem be the flasher module? How do I test the flasher module?

How do I perform circuit testing to track down the problem? Knowing the wiring colors and functions would be advantageous Does testing for a problem in the steering column and multifunction switch inoilve disassembly in those ares. If so, I would be very concerned about activating the airbag so how would I disable the airbag

I also thought about the towing harness being the problem.

My info shows fuse1--20 amp is stop/haz fuse. If that fuse is blown, how come the brake lites work?

Some automotive forums won't talk to you about air-bags, because of the safety issue. If it blows-up in your face, that is your responsibility.
