when the ignition switch was replaced was it reprogramed to work?

will it crank in neutral, does the radio work? warning lights come on when key is turned to on?

will it crank in neutral, does the radio work? warning lights come on when key is turned to on?[/quote:d902fc73ad] how do you have them programed,and is there a anti theft anything that would keep it from working since he banged it up so bad.without replacing the whole steering colum,because my understanding is now that it is not possible to put an ignition switch back where the other one was,is there any way to get fire and get it to crank without it.i am so desperatly upset and i dont no what to do.the colum is unlocked beecause it was brutalized,so is there any any way to get it going,please.

since the wheel is unlocked, you could choose to hot wire the vehicle if you dont want to replace the column, although i dont suggest doing it.

the switch is what makes everything happen, is the theft light on? if not thats not affecting it.

i can dig you up a diagram if you want to go through with the hotwire.

im not sure if i posted back to you in the right place,so i want to say again first of all thank you for helping me when no one eles would,i will need to be able to wire it because i just dont have the money to replace the whole column at this time,you have been so wonderful to me today and i just cant say thank you enough for giving me some peace of mind.

can you tell me the color of the wires that go to the ignition switch?
