The transmission in my Astro has just begun to slip, but only in the "D" gears. It doesn't slip in 1 or 2, or in reverse. Trans. fluid looks good, doesn't smell burnt, and the level may be a little bit high.
Any suggestions on what I can do to keep this thing movong a little bit longer?
Thanks, Bill

Hi Is it slipping in 4th or OD ? will it not slip if in 3rd?
Maybe a shift solenoid or torque convertor solenoid.
A scan of trans would tell if solenoids and sensors good.
Hope this help
Thanks for donate

Thanks for your reply. It slips only in OD and D., 2,1 and reverse are fine. I drained some fluid out (it was a little overfilled), but that didn't help. How do I "scan" my transmission? Does that need to be done at a trans. shop?

Scannig must be done at a repair shop that has the equipment.
