Is the brake fluid full? Is the park brake pedal fully returning?

When you depressed the caliper pistons, did you force the brake fluid back into the master cylender or bleed it out at the caliper bleeder? If you forced it through the master cylender, you may have damaged it.

i bled it out at the bleeder. i have rechecked and readjusted the back brakes to make sure everything was in the right position and i have rechecked the seating of the pads at the front and the ebrake light is still on.

The only other thing I can say about the park brake is to make sure the switch is properly adjusted and is working. It is located under the dash near the e-brake pedal. It will be mounted in the assembly near the top.

Check the switch to make sure it is working properly. Disconnect the plug and jump it to see if the light goes out.
