My wife drives the car and I am not around. The check engine light came on today and she took it to AutoZone to read the code. P2448 came up. Is the car safe to drive for a couple of days until she can get it to the shop for repair? She drives about eleven miles on the highway back and forth to commute to work.

Will it be expensive to fix?

That is secondary air injection high air flow. she can drive it no problem for a few days. Without knowing the exact problem it is hard to say what it will cost to fix. To start with it will be a minimum of one hour shop labor rate plus the repair cost. It could just be a bad secondary air injection hose.
