Check engine light, bad TCM?

Car runs and sounds great, won’t pass emissions due to check engine light with bad PCM/TCM engine codes. I moved to an area where emissions aren’t a problem, but I don’t want the check engine light on there. Also, the speedometer doesn’t work, and the odometer doesn’t go up due to this issue. I finally decided to purchase a new computer programmed to my vin and after installation, it burnt up my ignition coil and threw transmission codes. The mechanic swapped computers back out and it drove home okay, but then the next day, it’s now having shifting issues. Anyone know what could be going on?

I would run the codes first to see if you have a bad VSS. I would do a CAN scan. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
