I changed out the high pressure fuel pump, replaced the fuel pressure sensor, and noticed the wiring harness to the pressure sensor was damaged. I replaced the harness to the pressure sensor (only) (not the whole injector harness)using the recommended wire crimps from the dealership. I replaced the fuel line leading in to the high pressure fuel pump as recommended from dealership.
I am still receiving code p228c, through my research there is no fuel pressure regulator for the 2015 GMC terrain.
I am still receiving code p0191, the fuel pressure sensor has been replaced.
I am still receiving p0172 bank 1 to rich
Symptoms:
1.Black gunk coming from exhaust
2. Rough idle (sometimes engine dies out)
3. Reduced engine power / service stabilitrak
4. None to very low response when pushing accelerator.
5. Wont go passed 3,000 rpm when accelerator is fully pressed to floorboard.
It seems like no fuel or very low pressure of fuel is reaching the engine. Could this be a rear fuel pump/ pressure sending unit issue.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you for your time/help.
