My OBD II scanner does not cover ABS Brake Systems. Maybe that is why I get no DTCs?

That is the likely reason for no codes. What really needs to be done is to scan the can-bus system for codes.

CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different computers/modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Let me know if that is something you can have done and what the codes are. If you can't, then I would recommend checking the wheel speed sensors. This can be done with a voltmeter or multimeter.

Hi, sorry for the delay in response.
I bought a Autel MaxiLink ML629.
Has CAN on it.
So, here is a question:
I cleared codes some weeks ago with a Bluetooth scanner.
So, I have no CEL.
But when I hook up the new scanner, I see it sees DTCs for PCM, ABS and SRS.
Why weren't these cleared when I erased codes before and CEL went off?
Or are they "pending" codes?
And do I need to clear all codes even though CEL is off in order to reset I/M Readiness

Hi,

If you clear the codes again, you have to start over for the readiness. As far as the pending codes are concerned, the computer is waiting to see if they happen again within approximately 40 run cycles. When I say run cycles, that includes driving the vehicle until the operating temp is reached. You can't just start and turn it off 40 times.

Once the required number of run cycles is reached without an issue, the codes should go away.
