So, I need to change the alternator, got a new one in the passenger seat. Now the problem is that I can't find the second screw for the alternator. The first one was easy, it was pretty accessible and got with the 17mm socket. Based on the new alternator, the second screw should be one hand-length down into the car, but I can't find the head of that screw, is it on the other side of the alternator?(So basically under the intake manifold). Would I need to remove anything, like the intake manifold, and how do I get the belt off. I think I found the belt tensioner, but it's connected to another belt, the belt connected to the alternator only has two wheels, the engine and the alternator.

Hi,

This vehicle isn't offered in the US, but I will try to help.

There is a chance the bolt does come in from the opposite side, but chances are, it doesn't. Is it possible for you to send me a picture of the new alternator with a close-up to the bolt holes? I want to see if they are threaded in the front. If they are, then the bolt would come from the back.

Regardless, I would think you would be able to locate the location itself. Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps:

Let me know.

Yeah I found the bolt. I had to jack ta car up and the plastic wheel cover to access it. It sat on an arm that can control the tension, probably the reason why I couldn't find the belt tensioner. But thanks man!

Hi,

Honestly, I think they hide things on purpose just to drive people crazy. LOL Regardless, I'm glad to know you got it taken care of. Take care of yourself and feel free to come back anytime in the future.

Yeah, I know some brands put the alternator nice high and accessible, but thanks for the fast responses anyway. Some people take half a week to respond.
