Change water pump, will not start again

Okay everyone, over a year ago I changed my water pump in my vehicle and once I fixed that my vehicle has yet to ever start again. I replaced the coil, spark plugs, everything under the distributor cap, all wires to spark plugs. It will crank and crank but will not fire up.

Sounds like we need to determine what your vehicle lost, spark or fuel. Get a can of starting fluid. Spray a shot into the intake and try to start it. If it fires you have lost fuel, that could be a bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter or even a bad fuse.
If it does nothing but crank you may have lost spark and fuel. A common failure item on that vintage Jeep is the crankshaft position sensor, it will cause the same symptom, crank but no start.

Please clarify the engine you have as well. Jeep had a 4.0 6 cylinder and a 5.2 V8 that year.

I have a V8. Fuel pump is only a few years old. Had to replace that awhile back. Starter fluid did nothing.

Okay, Take a plug wire off and connect a spark tester to it and see if you have spark. If no spark, which is very likely. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor and test it for resistance with a meter. You want to find zero resistance between pins B and C in the connector. The CKP is located on the transmission bell-housing at the top rear of the engine. It can be a bear to get at.
