Parking brake control module replacement

Good evening.

I replace these parts in my car. The part at image number 1 was replaced with image number 2. Can it work in the car even though the numbers are different because since I change the part the park break is not working.

Is this an ECM?

Please keep in mind that when you are replacing a module it needs to be an exact match. Otherwise, you might not be able to make it function as it is designed to do.

Was the replacement part supposed to fit according to the catalog?

You can always call your local dealer and provide them with the VIN, and they can confirm the part numbers fitment.

Was the replacement part number looked up in a parts catalog? or just a replacement according to the year and model of the car?
