Check engine light with code P06DD, no symptoms other than check engine light?

Yes as long as you have good oil pressure it is safe to drive. This means the control solenoid has probably gone out, but this light can also be on if the engine oil is low or the wrong weight.

The P06DD code on a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan with the 3.6L engine refers to an issue with the engine oil pressure control circuit.

Thank you for the information! The 2012 Grand Caravan in question is a car I'm looking into buying. They are asking $6,000. It has 156,000 miles and is in near perfect condition cosmetically. They have replaced the sensor and checked the oil pressure levels at both hi and low rpm levels but the CEL stays. Is it a good idea to go ahead and by the car even with the CEL? Will I have to put $1,000+ worth of work into it in the near future because of the said CEL? I just want to make sure I don't spend hard earned money on a lemon.

Just keep in mind that the oil pump may need to be replaced. I would look inside the engine through the oil fill cap to see what the sludge build up is like which will tell you how often they changed the oil.
