My car has a 6-disc changer and a DVD player.

Recently, my battery died so I had to jump my car. The car jumped just fine and is running smoothly, but after I jumped the car my CD changer started sounding like it was attempting to change the CD's in the system but was jamming. It also displays the message "CD CHANGER ERROR."

Normally I would just brush this off (I know that is bad) seeing as I do not listen to CD's anymore, but I found myself with another issue: the DVD player stopped working completely. I also do not use the DVD player for actually viewing movies, but it is where I plug in my AUX cord and listen to music.

I found this issue when I pressed the source button on the console and it displays "REAR AUX" for about a second and then disappears and goes back to the radio. If I press this button twice, it goes to the CD player and displays "CD0 TRACK 06" but when I press eject it says "NO CD."

I do not really know much about cars, but I assume these issues have something to do with each other and had something to do with me jumping the car (even though this has never happened before).

So I did some research and tried a couple things. For the CD player, I checked the audio fuse (in the fuse box on the passenger side) and it was still good. I tried disconnecting it, waiting a few seconds, and then reconnecting it. I was hopeful for a moment but it did not work.

Then I did the same with the fuse for the DVD player (in the fuse box in the trunk on the driver's side). The fuse was fine but this also did not solve the problems.

The only other solution I have found is to disconnect the battery and then reconnect it, but I do not know if I want to do this.

Can anyone help me? I have to drive a lot and I am going crazy not being able to listen to music. :/

the CD and infotainment stuff has changed since 2004 so a dealer will have to scan for codes to see what is wrong or a radio shop may be able to fix it on this one.
