Catalytic converter and O2 sensor

I meant the new one has no place for an O2 sensor

That's where I'm talking about, couldn't they cut it right between the cat and the sensor and weld the new one?

YOU CAN DRILL A HOLE IN THE NEW CAT, 'BOUT THE SAME SPOT AS THE OLD ONE.

THEY MAKE A THREADED RING CALLED A "BUNG", IT CAN BE WELDED OVER THE HOLE

ON MY 1977 JEEP CJ-5 (CARBURETED, NO NEED FOR AN O2 SENSOR)) I INSTALLED AN O2 SENSOR AT THE END OF MY HEADER TO RUN MY AIR/ FUEL RATIO GAUGE (TO AID IN TUNING MY CARB/ INSTALLING JETS)
I USED A BUNG, PICS BELOW

Thank you Medic, sweet CJ btw! I called the muffler shop that installed my Flowmaster 40 series muffler a few months back and explained my issue and they said normally they can cut between the sensor and cat but if not they have the bungs and can install one of those for me. You gave me reassurance until I could call the muffler shop. I was afraid that I had just wasted good bit of money on the cat that I bought and would have to try and get my money back and then wait a few weeks on another to arrive!

I'M GLAD THAT SOMETHING I SAID MADE IT ALL BETTER!

ALL YOU NEED TO DO NOW IS GET A HANKERIN' FOR A JEEP!
