Car wont start due to alarm

my remote for my 2000 honda passport fell in water. Ever since the alarm transmitter/remote has stopped working. As a result I can no longer start my car. The security lock is still applied and the car wont turn until this security is disassembled which i cant get done with the alarm working. There is no kill switch in the car either.

My phone isn't letting me post the pic of the screenshot it says unlocking front door or tailgate using ignition key or by turning ignition switch from off to acc position will disarm it.I cant post links to anything on this site iam not allowed to.Also this is online repair info which is a paid subscription we use on here.

ive tried all of these options and nothing has worked. I may invest in buying a new oem trasmitter which is expensive however.

Does this have a smart key with a push button start?

Nope, its an older car. Just the key and the remote. I can unlock the doors with the key, and turn the car onto the on position, after this when i try to turn the car over nothing happens.

There is no kill switch, and i tried unlocking the car from both the drivers side and passenger side in hopes of disabling the alarm. Nothing has worked. i think there is something linked to the starter on the car, that needs to be disarmed by only the remote on these cars. the car has been out of commission for an entire week due to the alarm transmitter.

The key has an electronic transponder in it. If it got wet, it's probably no good. If you have another key, try that.
