Cut off and hard too get it to crank up and when it does it idles rough and popping sound. It quiets down when pick speed up until stop then idles rough again.

Hi:

Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running? I ask because there are many things that can cause this type of issue, Fuel pressure, engine vacuum leaks, fuel pressure regulator, ignition coils, stuck fuel injectors and so on can all cause it.

If the check engine light stays on, have the computer scanned to identify diagnostic trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for free. Once that is done, let me know the codes so I can point you in the right directions.

Here is a quick video showing how to retrieve codes just in case you can get your hands on a scanner:

Do this and let me know what codes are found. If the check engine light doesn't stay on, let me know that too.

Take care,
Joe

If possible, let me know the specific codes.

As far as the issues you mentioned, any of them can cause the problem you described. That's why I need to know the codes. There are multiple codes dealing with crankshaft references as well as cam. I'm not sure about the vacuum leak code. However, lets start by checking to see if there is one.

Here is a link that explains how to check for a leak. Try this and let me know what you find.

I will watch for your reply.
