Good morning.
You need to have someone check the timing. It may be off one tooth resulting in the power loss.
Start there and let us know. A shop can do this test by doing a compression test.

What was the compression??
Also, it could be a clogged catalytic converter. that can be checked with a back pressure check to confirm.

ok, good
I am wondering if the cat converter is clogged.
Try unbolting the front pipe to the manifold and see if it runs any better

that is for the ignition control circuit. this could be related to the igniter but you need a scope to verify the signal.
do you have access to a scope>>

there is no trick to fool the ecu.
check the connections at the igniter to be clean tight and no damage to the pins.
check the distributor cap and rotor as well for any damage or wear.
