Car will not stay running

12,000 MILES • 5.7L • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

After charging the battery, car starts but shuts off after 10 minutes. Has a new battery. Try to start again, it will crank but won't start back up. After sitting awhile, sometimes the next day, it starts and then shuts off again.

Just a few questions first.. Have you had the alternator and fuel pressure tested? Here are a few tutorials for you to view:

Most auto parts stores have a tool loaner program to rent you the tools to test if you don't have then and can test your alternator for free.Get back to me with the info and we'll go from there.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

I need you to check if there is spark to the plugs when it won't start. Here is a link that explains how. Also, I attached a link you may find helpful.

Based on your description, I first suspect it may be the ignition module. If I'm correct, there will be no spark.
